In this single-center, observational study involving 531 patients with stable angina undergoing elective CAG, circulating FGF21 concentration was associated with the incidence of CIN and subsequent renal function decline and adverse cardiovascular events during the mean follow-up period of 2.3 ± 1.3 years. The gene discussed is FGF21; the disease is cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
