The Cox proportional-hazard analysis adjusted for age, gender, FBS, LVEF, eGFR, hemoglobin, proteinuria, and previous CIN revealed a strong positive association between the circulating FGF21 concentration and deterioration of renal function (adjusted hazard ratio [aHR], 7.98; 95% CI, 4.07–15.66; p < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene FGF21 and cervical squamous intraepithelial neoplasia.
