Finally, RA patients achieving a decrease of BMI ≥ 5% at 6 months showed a significant reduction of sIL-6R plasma values at 12 months follow-up (47.9 ng/ml at baseline vs. 40.4 ng/ml at 12 months follow-up; Wilcoxon test: p = 0.04), not observed in RA patients with BMI reduction < 5% during the same follow-up period (p = 0.10).
