CRP and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease: In HFpEF, CRP levels were elevated in approximately 60% of patients and were associated with younger age, higher BMI, COPD, AF, RV dysfunction, reduced exercise tolerance and higher circulating levels of aldosterone, endothelin-1 and NT-pro BNP, but were not significantly associated with symptoms, PASP or other parameters of LV systolic or diastolic function.
