To analyze the degree of malignancy of the K-RasG12V lung tumors that appeared in the different experimental cohorts, we performed hematoxylin and eosin staining in serial sections of paraffin embedded lungs at 40 weeks post-oncogene activation in the “pre-treatment” group, which was the one that showed significant differences in tumor growth in the AAV9-Tert-DN cohort. The gene discussed is TERT; the disease is neoplasm.
