Figure 14 shows that infection of Culex larvae with blastospores of the entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium brunneum had a significant impact on the relative expression of cecropin A (F2,6 = 48.555, P < 0.001), Defensin A (F2,6 = 19.271, P = 0.002), Gambicin (F2,6 = 30.431, P = 0.001) and HSP70 (F2,6 = 28.144, P = 0.001), but no effect on expression of Transferrin (F2,6 = 2.448, P = 0.167).
