A similar H2O2-induced dephosphorylation of tau protein in OLGs was previously observed in neurons during continuous exposure to H2O2 [50]; the dephosphorylation of tau protein may be an integral part of the cellular response to oxidative stress, and it has been reported following human stroke, head injury, and brain heat shock [51,52,53]. The gene discussed is MAPT; the disease is stroke disorder.
