Prostate cancer (PC) is one of the major causes of male death worldwide, representing the second most common cancer in males.1 One of the main treatment strategies against this disease is currently represented by androgen deprivation:2 bicalutamide (1) and enzalutamide (2) are two non-steroidal androgen receptor (AR) antagonist drugs approved to treat PC (Fig. 1).
