SMARCB1 in turn is a previously known tumor suppressor gene (Shain & Pollack, 2013) implicated in a number of malignancies (Modena et al, 2005; Smith et al, 2012; Shain & Pollack, 2013; Bishop et al, 2014), including CRC (Pancione et al, 2013; Jauhri et al, 2016; Wang et al, 2016). This evidence concerns the gene SMARCB1 and colorectal carcinoma.
