Several studies related to miRNAs have shown that miR-199b-5p is a putative tumor suppressor that targets several signaling pathways: Hes1 involved in both Notch and Hedgehog pathways in medulloblastoma33 and osteosarcoma34, PODXL and DDR1 in acute myeloid leukemia35, HIF-1α in hepatocellular carcinoma36, and HER2 and its downstream signaling ERK1/2 and AKT pathway in breast cancer37. This evidence concerns the gene DDR1 and neoplasm.
