These included genes associated with PCa aggressiveness, such as FABP5 and BOP1, as well as genes implicated in CSC function such as DPP4, TSPAN8, DNAJC12, and NES. FABP5 is an intracellular lipid-binding protein that is emerging as a critical regulator of PCa cell proliferation and putative marker of aggressive PCa [50–53]. This evidence concerns the gene NES and posterior cortical atrophy.
