BANK1 and systemic lupus erythematosus: More recently, we demonstrated that crosses between a lupus model and the BANK1−/− mice improve several disease B cell phenotypes; primarily, there is a reduction in the production of the total IgG and IgG anti-dsDNA antibodies, a reduction in serum IL-6 and BAFF, and reduced pSTAT1 signaling at Tyrosine 701, following the TLR7-agonist stimulation.
