CRP and inflammatory diarrhea: From the laboratory tests, it was evident that the white blood cell (WBC) count, the absolute neutrophil count (ANC), and the CRP and procalcitonin levels were statistically higher in Group A (P < .001) compared with Group B. The analysis of a multivariate logistic regression showed that the noteworthy independent predictors for inflammatory diarrhea were CRP and procalcitonin levels (Table 3).
