We observed higher rate of TSSC3 and ATG5 positivity in fibrous dysplasia and osteoblastoma compared with that in osteosarcoma (P < 0.05), while the positive rate of P62 expression was lower but not statistically significant (P > 0.05) in fibrous dysplasia and osteoblastoma compared with that in osteosarcoma (Additional file 3: Figure S1 a-c). This evidence concerns the gene SQSTM1 and fibrous dysplasia.
