CRISPLD2 and fatty liver disease: miRNA‐155 is located on the third exon of the B‐cell integration cluster (BIC) gene on human chromosome 21.47 As a powerful miRNA, miR‐155 is increased in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) models and regulates cholesterol and fatty acid metabolism in the liver by targeting LXRα, preventing hepatic steatosis.48 Zhang et al49 found that miR‐155 plays a key role in the process of alleviating HMGB1‐induced inflammatory effect by soluble CRISPLD2.
