Indeed, previous studies from our laboratory have shown that while proteasome inhibition in cutaneous T cell lymphoma, prostate cancer, ovarian cancer, and monocytic cells suppresses transcription of genes regulated by p65/p50 NFκB heterodimers, it upregulates the p65 homodimer-dependent IL-8 transcription [38–41].
