In tumours derived from LoVo cells, CNTD2 overexpression significantly decreases E-cadherin expression and increases N-cadherin and Slug expression (Fig. 6a), whereas in tumours derived from HT-29 cells E-cadherin expression decreases and Slug expression increases (Fig. 6b), supporting a role for CNTD2 in EMT induction.
