In view of both neutralization of IL-8/CXCR1/2 axes with neutralizing antibodies and pharmacological blocking of CXCR1/2 with Reparixin-l-lysine which demonstrated a significant reduction in tumor cell proliferation, a direct and significant role of IL-8-CXCR1/2 axes in GBM growth cannot be discounted. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL8 and glioblastoma.
