While a previous report described an increase in IFNγ expression in response to immune checkpoint blockade in 5xFAD mice (Baruch et al., 2016), we did not observe a significant effect in the absence of PD-1 signaling in prion disease, although we did not determine IFNγ levels specifically in the choroid plexus but in whole brain preparations. Here, IFNG is linked to prion disease.
