Patients who had stable disease or a new diagnosis of metastatic disease at the time of the blood draw were less likely to have cfDNA ESR1 (11.7%) or PIK3CA (25%) mutations compared to patients with progressive disease (88.2% for ESR1 mutations and 75% for PIK3CA mutations, respectively) at the time of the blood draw. This evidence concerns the gene PIK3CA and metastatic neoplasm.
