CD300A and HIV-1 infection: Our results showed that in untreated HIV-1-infected patients, the percentage of cells expressing CD300a was positively correlated with CD4+ T cell numbers, while was negatively associated to β2-microglobulin, hsCRP, and sCD14 levels, suggesting that a higher frequency of CD300a+ cells could be indicative of good prognosis in active HIV-1 infection.
