Akl et al. [100] showed that (−)-oleocanthal treatment causes a dose-dependent inhibition of Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF)-induced cell migration and invasion on different human breast cancer cell lines (MDA-MB-231, MCF-7 and BT-474), along with the arrest of cell cycle at G1/S phase and cell proliferation. This evidence concerns the gene HGF and breast cancer.
