As shown in Figure 1, a significantly lower leptin level (6.55 ± 2.88 vs. 8.01 ± 3.12 ng/ml, p < 0.05) and higher ghrelin level (6.33 ± 2.46 vs. 4.46 ± 2.02 ng/ml, p < 0.05) were found in all AIS patients. The gene discussed is LEP; the disease is androgen insensitivity syndrome.
