Consistent with more recent evidence supporting the important roles of YAP and GLS1 in the pathogenesis of PAH, a YAP inhibitor such as verteporfin (33, 60), an oligonucleotide inhibitor of the miR-130/301 family (61), as well as GLS1 inhibitors such as CB-839 and C968 (33) have all been shown to mediate robust improvement of rodent PAH. This evidence concerns the gene YAP1 and pulmonary arterial hypertension.
