IFNA1 and infection: BISPR, the genomic loci of which near to BST2, was identified to be highly up-regulated by IFN-α2 or IFN-λ in a dose- and time-dependent manner, and can be significantly increased upon the infection of mutant viruses IAV (PR8ΔNS1) and VSVM51R, two of which failed to control IFN in infected cells (Garcia-Sastre et al., 1998; Terstegen et al., 2001; Garcia-Sastre, 2011; Barriocanal et al., 2014).
