Due to an important role of ghrelin system in depression process, our results, for the first time, demonstrated that [D-Lys3]GHRP-6, a selective ghrelin receptor antagonist (Patel et al., 2012), was able to block the antidepressant effects of CST-14 in the FST and TST of mice. This evidence concerns the gene GHSR and major depressive disorder.
