The study aimed to investigate the effect of different types and frequencies of physical exercises on SBP, DBP, and clinical characteristics and evaluated their levels of oxidative stress markers in the pathogenesis of essential hypertension, including superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity (a primary detoxification enzyme), malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, and 4-HNE (lipid peroxidation marker) levels. The gene discussed is SOD1; the disease is hypertensive disorder.
