To investigate the significance of TRAIL-R1 for pancreatic cancer biology, we analyzed the staining intensity, the percentage of stained cells and the intracellular distribution of this receptor in sections of 106 tumors and 28 morphologically normal corresponding peritumoral ducts from 106 patients suffering from PDAC. The gene discussed is TNFRSF10A; the disease is familial pancreatic carcinoma.
