It has been demonstrated that α‐SMA is widely expressed in CAFs and associated with poor prognosis of patients in various types of cancers, including oral tongue squamous cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, non‐small‐cell lung cancer, and colorectal carcinoma.35, 36, 37, 38 In our study, it was found that majority of ICC (86/106) are characterized by α‐SMA expression in CAFs. Here, ACTA1 is linked to hepatocellular carcinoma.
