The presence of α‐SMA‐positive CAFs has been reported to be correlated with shorter overall and tumor‐free survival rate in various types of carcinomas.14, 15, 16 Previously, there have been a few studies describing isolation of stromal cells derived from noncholangiocarcinoma samples.17, 18 However, there are limited studies about isolation of CAFs from human ICC tissues; therefore, the crosstalk between tumor cells and stroma still remains to be comprehensively identified. Here, ACTA1 is linked to intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.
