R-2-hydroxyglutarate(R-2HG), which accumulates in isocitrate dehydrogenase 1/2 (IDH1/2) mutant cancers, can increase global m6A via inhibiting FTO, resulting in the decrease of MYC/CEBPA mRNA stability and inhibition of leukemia proliferation (Su et al., 2018). Here, MYC is linked to leukemia.
