The IL2RA (CD25) is located on chromosome 10p15.1; it encodes a subunit (IL-2Rα) of the receptor for the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-2, which has been associated with a number of autoimmune diseases including multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, autoimmune thyroid disease, and type 1 diabetes [2,27,67]. The gene discussed is IL2RA; the disease is multiple sclerosis.
