Notably, two members of the IL-1 superfamily of cytokines are represented, including IL36B and IL36G. IL-34, a cytokine that has recently been found to be elevated in the serum of psoriasis patients (particularly in those with psoriatic arthritis)18, was the only other interleukin cytokine that was in the core set. The gene discussed is IL36G; the disease is psoriatic arthritis.
