This study shows the preliminary results of the potential use of purposely formulated and produced siRNA vectors to deliver CyD1 and E2F1 siRNAs in control inflammation and cancer progression in IBD using the colon tissue culture in vitro model that represents a good example of translational medicine described as a tool to bring scientific knowledge “from bench to bedside” and then develop new therapies or medical procedures. This evidence concerns the gene E2F1 and inflammatory bowel disease.
