Our results also provide detailed molecular mechanistic information as to how three flavonoids exert their anti-cancer activities on human breast cancer cells (i.e. by inactivation of PI3K, Akt, mTOR, p70S6K, and ULK, upregulation of p53, and downregulation of Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL).
