Consistent with these reports, treating breast cancer cells with IH, GN, and Aca decreased the levels of phospho-Cdc2 and cyclin B1, suggesting that dephosphorylation of Cdc2 and downregulation of cyclin B1 could be the underlying molecular events contributing to G2/M arrest caused by these flavonoids in breast cancer cells.
