Study reported that diallyl trisulfide (DATS), a constituent of processed garlic, could induce apoptosis of prostate cancer cell through enhancing the activities of caspase-3 and caspase-9 proteins, which was inhibited in the presence of caspase-3- or caspase-9-specific inhibitors, Z-VAD-FMK and Z-LEHD-FMK [13].
