ICOSLG and Crohn disease: There is a strong eQTL (rs56124762) within the Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis-associated ICOSLG locus39–41 in which individuals with increased dosage of the alternate G allele exhibited significantly higher levels of ICOSLG gene expression, on average, than those who only carried the reference A allele (p = 2.7E−09) (Fig. 6c).
