Interestingly, overexpression of FOXO3a is associated with poor prognosis in triple-negative breast cancer [120], hepatocellular carcinoma [121], glioblastoma [94] and gastric cancer [122] patients, whereas low expression of FOXO3a is associated with poor prognosis in glioma [126] and ovarian cancer [127] patients. This evidence concerns the gene FOXO3 and central nervous system cancer.
