CD14 and Zika virus infectious disease: Intriguingly, there appeared to be low but significant levels of ZIKV infection in CD14+ monocytes even in the absence of enhancing antibodies (naïve versus infected monocytes: 0.018±0.010 versus 0.040±0.025, P = 0.012, Table 2), suggesting these may be the target cells of natural ZIKV infection.
