We recently have shown that TFF2 gene delivery via administration of an adenoviral construct (Ad-Tff2) greatly suppresses tumor growth in the azoxymethane/dextran sodium sulfate (AOM/DSS) colon cancer mouse model, predominantly by a mechanism that involves inhibition of the expansion of tumor-promoting myeloid-derived suppressive cells (MDSC) [1]. The gene discussed is TFF2; the disease is malignant colon neoplasm.
