TF and Sepsis: Regarding the other iron parameters, transferrin (HR: 0.997, 95% CI: 0.996–0.999, p < 0.001) and haemoglobin (HR: 0.936, 95% CI: 0.899–0.975, p = 0.001) levels exerted a beneficial effect on the mortality of patients with sepsis, whereas ferritin levels had no significant impact on 90-day mortality (HR: 1.000, 95% CI: 0.999–1.000, p = 0.393) (Table 4).
