EI24 is frequently lost or mutated in various carcinomas.24–27 We noticed that several previously identified breast-cancer-related pathological point mutations of EI24 -- EI24-P195T-I196D-H197Y (hereafter referred to as EI24-3m) and EI24-V199H24 -- are both located in the middle of the first intramembrane hairpin region of EI24 (Supplementary Information, Figure S3e). This evidence concerns the gene EI24 and carcinoma.
