Interestingly, the DPP4 activity was lower in TB patients [median 10.5 mU/ml, interquartile range (IQR) 9.0–15.5], compared to healthy controls [16.5 (15.0–21.0), p < 0.0001], suggesting that CXCL10 N-terminal truncation in TB patients may occur before CXCL10 enters the bloodstream (Figure 3). This evidence concerns the gene CXCL10 and tuberculosis.
