VEGFA and lung carcinoma: The combined results of all analyses showed that the pooled OR of these studies was 1.12 (95% CI: 0.87–1.43, P < 0.001) for the allele model, 1.15 (95% CI: 0.71–1.86, P = 0.037) for the homozygote model, 1.33 (95% CI: 0.66–2.68, P < 0.001) for the heterozygote model, 1.33 (95% CI: 0.74–2.40, P < 0.001) for the dominant model, and 0.98 (95% CI: 0.52–1.84, P < 0.001) for the recessive model, indicating no significant association between VEGF -2578C/A polymorphism and lung cancer risk (Figure 4).
