Nanog is expressed in leukemia cells (Eberle et al., 2010), as well as in human solid tumors such as glioma, hepatocellular carcinoma, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, and leukemia (Eberle et al., 2010; Zbinden et al., 2010; Jeter et al., 2011; Shan et al., 2012; Lu et al., 2013). The gene discussed is NANOG; the disease is leukemia.
