Breast cancer can be classified into different molecular subtypes, including luminal‐A, luminal‐B, HER2‐enriched, basal‐like and normal‐like, according to the gene expression pattern.24, 25 In addition, the angiogenic characteristic and anti‐angiogenic treatment effects are markedly different among these subsets of breast cancers.23 Accordingly, the anti‐angiogenesis trials may be patient‐specific in breast cancer therapy. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast cancer.
