Beyond, decreased expression and aberrant localization of Kv1.4, Kv4.2 and Kv4.3 have been reported in rodent models of epilepsy (Bernard et al., 2004; Lugo et al., 2008; Monaghan et al., 2008) and in a patient with temporal lobe epilepsy (Singh et al., 2006). The gene discussed is KCNA4; the disease is epilepsy.
