Only a few in vitro models of human PCa exist, some that exhibit complete loss of PTEN, such as in PC3 cells; some that exhibit mutation of PTEN and partial loss at 10q23, such as LNCaP cells; and finally some that harbor wild-type PTEN, such as 22rv1 and DU145 cells (4, 9, 46). The gene discussed is PTEN; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
