C3 and Nephropathy: Gherghiceanu et al. [20] suggested that glomerular C3 deposition was related to the active IgAN, and C3 deposition in renal tubular epithelial cells and peritubular capillaries were associated with sclerosis, suggesting that the pattern of C3 deposition may be used to predict the progression of nephropathy and the deterioration of kidney function.
