In particular, novel promising NASH and NAFLD drugs (GLP-1R antagonists, pioglitazone, vitamin E, elafibranor, OCA, selonsertib, simtuzumab, GR-MD-02, and CVC) from the pipeline of the pharmaceutical industry are being tested in advanced clinical trials and possibly will be approved as medications in the near future.
