To directly test whether Myc is vital for the survival of DLBCL cells in this setting, we treated these cells with two different types of Myc inhibitors27,28, JQ1 (a BET bromodomain inhibitor) and 10058-F4 (a Myc-Max dimerization inhibitor), which led to decreased Myc levels and cell viability29,30 (Fig. 2C,D and Fig. S4). The gene discussed is MAX; the disease is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
