Notable attention has been given to αβT cells engineered to express second- and third-generation CARs against targets such as CD19 (2, 11–14) and CAR-T cells targeting CD19 recently received FDA approval for sale in the United States for the treatment of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). This evidence concerns the gene CD19 and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
